We’re a small, focused team solving one of the hardest challenges in wearable tech: producing high-precision ophthalmic lenses that integrate displays, sensors, and electronics while meeting strict optical standards.
To scale this technology, we are implementing new materials. We’re looking for a hands-on Polymer Process Engineer who can take these materials and turn them into a stable, repeatable production process.
You will work directly with international material suppliers and our internal engineering team to industrialize new materials and bring them into production.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will own the implementation of new polymer materials into our casting process, ensuring they meet the optical quality, stability, and repeatability required for ophthalmic lenses.
This role is highly hands-on and focused on execution: designing practical experiments, running trials yourself, and translating results into robust production procedures.
Tasks:
- Design and run material trials to implement in our casting systems
- Optimize curing cycles, temperature profiles, and process parameters
- Evaluate interactions between casting materials and embedded components
- Work directly with material suppliers to adapt and validate process parameters
- Analyze results and quickly iterate toward stable production conditions
- Document findings and translate them into clear Standard Operating Procedures
- Train the R&D and production teams on the finalized process
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or similar
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with polymer processing, thermosets, or reactive casting systems
- Experience working with polyurethane, resin casting, or similar multi-component systems
- Strong understanding of curing behaviour, and process parameter optimization
- A practical mindset: you prefer running experiments and solving problems over theoretical analysis
- Ability to work independently in a small team environment
- Confidence communicating directly with international material suppliers
- A structured approach to documenting results and establishing production procedures
Experience with optical materials, lens manufacturing, or high-precision casting processes is a strong advantage.
What You’ll Get
- A Hard Challenge: We’re building something that doesn’t exist yet. It’s deep-tech with real-world impact.
- Ownership: You’ll have real influence on the product, the process, and how we grow as a team.
- Growth: As we expand globally, you’ll be part of the team setting the standard for what comes next.
- Competitive Pay: We offer a solid salary, with plenty of upside along with company success.
You’ll help shape products used by the next generation of AR devices, and be part of a team doing something no one else is doing (yet).
