Smart glasses are becoming the next consumer platform — and they don't work without prescription AR. That's what we make at AddOptics: the lenses that let the most ambitious wearable actually work for everyday people. Our customers are the teams defining the category — BigTech platform groups, the eyewear giants, and the leading smart-glasses players. Revenue is growing, partnerships are deepening, and our technology is genuinely first-of-its-kind.
We're hiring a Head of Growth to turn that momentum into a commercial organization built for the next order of magnitude.
What You'll Be Working On
- Own the AddOptics story in the rooms that matter. Shape how BigTech, eyewear giants, and the smart-glasses challengers think about prescription AR — positioning, messaging, pricing, and the segment plan behind each one.
- Design the engine that scales us. Tailored campaigns to win the biggest players, account by account. Proactive hunting into the rising smart-glasses challengers. An inbound presence strong enough that the industry comes looking for us. Backed by the systems — CRM, forecasting, dashboards — that let us steer on signal, not guesswork.
- Close deals that move the company. Open your own logos. Co-hunt the big accounts alongside our two founders. Be the reason the next milestone contract lands.
- Write the next chapter of AddOptics. You're not inheriting a playbook — you're writing the one that takes us from strong founder-led traction to category leader.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in commercial leadership spanning marketing and sales.
- Has built a commercial engine once before at a deep-tech or hardware scale-up — not just executed someone else's plan.
- Comes from optics, photonics, waveguides, AR/VR hardware, smart glasses, or directly adjacent deep-tech hardware. Already credible with BigTech XR teams and the eyewear giants — speaks their language, knows their players, reads their politics. No six-month industry ramp.
- Has sold into BigTech platform teams or the eyewear giants and knows how those organisations actually buy — month-long cycles, co-development and NRE contracts, multi-stakeholder deals with technical buyers, procurement, and execs in the same room.
- Strategic/visionary and operator/builder. High agency. Will not wait for someone else to set up the CRM, the dashboard.
- Owns the narrative and the number. Writes a killer one-pager, opens a keynote, reframes a stuck deal — and can tell you the conversion rate between every stage and why one is broken.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
You’re excited by building things that don’t fully exist yet. You know how to refine strategy and build a playbook that matches the path. You’re comfortable switching between strategy and execution in the same afternoon. You can work the room at an industry conference, then spend the next morning refining CRM workflows or preparing for a technical customer meeting.
You probably get energy from being close to the market — understanding how industries shift, how organisations buy, and where new categories emerge before everyone else sees them clearly.
You take ownership naturally. When something is missing, unclear, or broken, your instinct is to fix it rather than wait for someone else to define the process.
Most importantly, you care about building something meaningful with a small team that genuinely believes it can shape an industry.
What You'll Get
- A hard and meaningful challenge — deep-tech with real-world impact; you're building the commercial function, not inheriting one.
- Real ownership and influence over the product story, the go-to-market, and how our commercial organisation grows.
- The opportunity to grow alongside the business as revenue, team, ARR, and segment coverage reach scale, the title moves with you.
- We take the work seriously, and we take the time to celebrate what we achieve together
- Competitive salary and benefits
